Basic Photography Part 2 (revision project)
This is part two of my basic photography project. For Christmas I was given a digital SLR camera and I have been using it a lot in the past couple of week. It has defiantly been a steep learning curve and I continue to learn more and more about how to control my camera. Since I now have new equipment, I decided to revise my basic photography project with a 2nd part. These are all photographs taken on a more advances camera (my first basic photography project was done on my iPhone) and as with any new equipment you need to go back to basics to get the hang of it. While the images don't all follow the same guidelines as the first project, they follow the general guidelines and there is an equal number of images as in the original. Right now I am focusing a lot of developing my photography skills and practicing photography is what I want to put my energy into. There a few images from my original (no rule of thirds and the horizontal vs vertical) that were not exactly correct and I have fixed those in this project. Other than that it is just a showcase of the continued development in my photography skills.

Talking Points:
- Born in Frace, 1983. Uses 28 mm film to create large scale illegal photography.
- First official project "Portrait of a Generation," archived in 2006. Based on the 2005 Paris street riots.
- Next, "Face2Face" took photos of Israeli and Palestinian people with the same jobs and posted them side by side in cities from both countries. Created in 2007 with Marco. Was said to be impossible.
- His 2008 project "Women are Heroes" showcased women in countries where they are often targets.
- Also in 2008 he created "Wrinkes of the City" to show images of elderly people in young, fast paced cities such as LA and Shanghai.
- In 2011 he won the Ted Prize and made "A Wish to Change the World" through art. This project was "Inside Out."
- In 2014 collaborated with New York City Ballet to create “Les Bosquets” which was inspired by his first project, "Portrait of a Generation.
Windows and Doors
This project surrounds the concept of windows and doors. I choose to focus on the concept of a window. With a window you can see the person behind it but you are still separated from them in some way. You may think that you can see the person behind the window, but you aren't ever fulling getting them. In order to fully see the person you need to get around that window.
Basic Photography
This is the first version of my basic photography project. It has images of various different types and was an exercise to practice my photography. The photos were all taken on my iPhone and were mostly taken at the Oregon Coast, however some were taken in the Colombia Gorge or at various locations are Portland.
Describing an Image
In this project I took an in depth look at another artists photograph to analyze the tools that they use in their photography. All of the analysis work was done offline.
